Ysabel Arvelo Buzbee
Born November 25, 1951 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. My mother drove there just to have me with the famous Doctor George. I was named Ysabel Manuela Arvelo Dalmau, but my mother called me Betsy since birth. Reasoning being that my mother and father had agreed on a name and then my father named me the way he wanted without telling my mother. The fight at the hospital was famous.
A few days later we were back in the country home in Arroyo Hondo. My grandad’s home which he gave to my mom and dad as a Wedding gift.
