Cheese

Cheese. What can you say about cheese that hasn’t been said. Other than, when I was a kid in the DR, they sold this cheese that was the worse cheese I have ever eaten. I hated cheese because I thought that was what it was supposed to be like. When we moved to Miami and I had access to real cheese, I realized that there were many other kinds of cheeses, many of which were just fabulous.

By the time I was a teenager, there were more cheeses available in the DR, and I had a few favorites. Then I met Tommy’s father, Buz,. He was a cheese connoisseur. He had two fridges in the kitchen, one for the normal things, and the other for all the gourmet items: cheeses, wines, campaigns, pates, etc. I learned about stinky cheeses, cheese fondues, souffles, and quiches. My life was never the same.
