Corn Fritters – Frituritas de Maíz
Every day in my mom’s house, there was something fried: corn fritters. fried batata, fried yuca, eggplant, something. And, we all looked forward to it. But the corn and the yuca were my favorites.
Ingredients
- 1 cup corn flour
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 tsp anise
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Mix all ingredients except for the oil.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add spoonfuls of the mix to the oil. Make sure they are bite size and not too big. Fry until golden on both sides.
Step 3
Remove and place on paper towels.
Step 4
Serve.
